As the first month of the 83rd legislative session comes to a close, State Representative Poncho Nevárez has been appointed by Speaker of the House, Joe Straus, to three House Committees on Thursday, January 31. These committees include: Culture, Recreation & Tourism; International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs; and Rules & Resolutions.
Austin, TX - As the legislative session comes into full swing, freshman State Representative Poncho Nevárez has rolled up his sleeves and filed two more pieces of legislation on February 1. "District 74 is so large that multiple issues arise and I am here to fight for my constituents every step of the way," states Nevárez.
